The person behind the smile

A Davidson, North Carolina native, Dr. Hancock’s path began in engineering before a growing interest in dentistry brought him to orthodontics.

  • A foundation in engineering

    At East Carolina University, he earned a bachelor’s in biomedical engineering. He later led a quality-control team improving pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.

  • Dentistry at UNC

    He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of North Carolina, graduating near the top of his class with the highest distinction for community service.

  • Focused on orthodontics

    He stayed at UNC for specialty training in orthodontics.
